Ron Pope - A Drop in the Ocean

I don't wanna waste the weekend
If you don't love me, pretend
A few more hours, then it's time to go
As my train rolls down the east coast
I wonder how you keep warm
It's too late to cry; too broken to move on
And still I can't let you be
Most nights I hardly sleep
Don't take what you don't need from me

It's just a drop in the ocean
A change in the weather
I was praying that you and me might end up together
It's like wishing for rain as I stand in the desert
But I'm holding you closer than most
'Cause you are my heaven
- Ron Pope

Insignificant...irrelevant.
Something so small it doesn't even matter.
Loving you doesn't matter.
The big picture...
The dream of us...
We're never going to get there.
Never to know "my" picture or "my" dream.
You don't love me back.
So I'm torn between reality and my dreams.
But no regrets...no excuses.
Just pretend a little while for me.
Give me some time...please.
Please try not to use me.
Please keep me in mind.
Please try not to break me.
'Cause I'd still do anything for you.
You're still my everything.
It just doesn't matter...
...is what they say
